All Ukrainian Organic Products Fair 2021

The main event for the organic products market – All Ukrainian Organic Products Fair – took place in Kyiv on September 18, 2021.

This year, it was held at the capital’s Expocenter of Ukraine National Complex. It was the thirteenth fair for the organizers – Organic Movement of Ukraine. More than thirty producers of organic products traveled here from different parts of Ukraine to present their certified organic vegetables, fruit, berries, melons, watermelons, dairy and meat products, cereals, flours, oils, honey, juices, drinks, syrups, mushrooms, jams, teas and many more.

The main idea behind the Fair is to familiarize consumers with organic products, their advantages, and their characteristics. The guests have an excellent opportunity to taste and buy a large assortment of organic products from producers coming from different parts of Ukraine. Delicious organic juices, jams, syrups from Pan Eko TM (Zakarpattia) were presented at the fair.

Among the other participants invited was Kostiv FH, a member of the Carpathian Taste PU. The farming household was established in 1992. Since being established and till 2006, the farm was operating under the extensive mode of production. Another Carpathian Taste PU member represented at the fair was Zharda FH. Zharda assortment currently includes smoked bundz, sour cream, and butter. Zharda FH is not an organic producer, yet they make bryndza, which is a GI.

The event was organized with the support of the Swiss Confederation within the framework of Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and the Dairy Sector in Ukraine programme implemented by the Swiss Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
