The farm, located in a green area of Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the picturesque village of Mukylychyn, was established in 2010. The farmers revived unique upland production, started breeding purebred goats and making delicacy cheese. The farm has three levels: level 1 – cottages; level 2 – a modern goat farm with facilities for animal keeping, milk processing, cheese making and ripening, level 3 – Horhany upland meadow where in the summertime guests can enjoy the incredible Carpathian landscapes, talk to shepherds, taste milk and try themselves at making goat cheese.

They produce sheep cheese in the mountains during summer and also offer holiday accomodation for tourists. Their products are sold under the Trademark “Taste of the Ukrainian Carpatians”. We were hosted by Mykola and his family.

My passion is Ukrainian Carpathians – mountains, sub-alpine meadows, my native Mykulychyn.

I am proud that our family managed to maintain and revive the old Hutsul traditions.

Trust for me is the most important thing in life: without trust there would be no strong family and career success.

Zelenyi Yar PoE products

The farm specializes in goat milk and cheese making and tourist excursions. Our urda is similar to the Italian and French ricotta cheese. Besides, we are making Swiss-recipe based parmiggiano cheese that can be stored for more than a year.

Vasyl Yaremchuk, Carpathian Taste PU member

Membership in the Carpathian Taste PU had a positive impact on our work, helped us meet new people and exchange experience. In the future, we would like the PU to help us buy agricultural equipment.
